Aside from the performance information there my point is that usually reporting bugs against fixmes is invalid. So unless you have a real problem in an application that depends on such console message feature there is no problem.

It does not always succeed - it succeeds on fonts with a valid signature, and on fonts without signature. the authentic case and wine case, respectively. but it does fail on fonts with an invalid signature. I happen to have one - it is not difficult to make - just make any change to a font with a valid signature.
