After updating to OS X 10.8.2, wine no longer renders anything related to 3D
graphics on screen.

the last line in the attached +relay,+seh,+tid log is
gdi32.__wine_get_wgl_driver

execution stops there.

I can confirm also, AMD graphics card. Also the 10.7.5 is affected. 
AFAIK the graphic drivers were updated in the last minor OSX release for 10.7
and 10.8.

I can confirm that this issue also exists in stable Wine 1.4.1. It seems not to
be related to one type of graphics hardware.

I've testing on ATI, Intel, and Nvidia... same on all 3.  I can find no other
OpenGL programs that are affected so far, so maybe its a minor bug in Wine that
just never popped up its head until Apple changed something?  I've run Wine
versions as old as 1.1.5 and they are all broken.. all versions.

Yes, I can confirm that 2.7.4_rc1 fixes the issue with my 10.8.2 OS X with
nVidia

According to comments 9, 10 and 11 it was a library issue fixed in the latest
xquartz release.
