I can't play Football Manager 2009 couse the only thing i see is a black screen. Note that pointer changes his shape when i move it in same position...so the game seems to start but there is a graphic error.

I'm using an Intel GM965/GL960 Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03) and i have the same problem with the demo: black screen but it seems to start.
I get this output from terminal: fixme:d3d_shader:shader_glsl_load_constants >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION (0X502) from glUniform4fvARB @ glsl_shader.c / 445 and similar.... Thanks for reply

I now think it wasn't wine related.
I had no problem playing the game using an old nvidia videocard

It's an old report now.
Kernels, drivers, distros, wine has gone forward. Even the game is native now (I mean the newest football manager).
