Sorry Austin, I will have to vi the log file and post it. MacOSX does not have a native text only editor (that I could find.) As to the file name, it is the latest English version available from onlinebible.com, which is located in the EU.
As a side note, this is not the only program I am experiencing this problem with and I think it may be related to the debugger and not OnlineBible. Would it be preferable that I work on the debugger and see what happens?

Still broken. I've added a new log entry as I obtained a copy of darwine built with freetype 2.3.5 and 'upgraded' to freetype 2.3.5. I've added a new log file.

This is the current log. Also, when running this program wineserver goes to max CPU (on one CPU) and the application goes to about 40% on the other CPU. The system is an Intel Core Duo.

--- Comment #14 from James McKenzie jjmckenzie51@sprintpcs.com 2007-10-26 21:57:48 --- The Oct 3 release installed but the OnLine Bible program did not start. I attempted to start Biblewin.exe but it crashed and starting OLB.exe results in the newly attached error log. Also, running this program causes Winserver to use maximum CPU on one CPU and OLB.exe uses about 33-34% on the other (Intel Core Duo). Again, I think that this is a X11 issue as I am using Apple's X11 and I've asked the producer of the Darwine distribution which version of X11 Darwine was built on.

--- Comment #17 from James McKenzie jjmckenzie51@sprintpcs.com 2007-10-27 21:55:58 --- I just ran into something interesting this evening when going through some of the installation logs: It appears that this program wants to use .NET for some reason. This appears to be another of those .NET bugs that will slowly grow. Attached is a log file from the Crossover product that attempts to show the installation failed when it attempted to start OLB.EXE for the first time.

--- Comment #18 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2007-10-28 11:02:43 --- install_advance.exe from http://www.onlinebible.org/html/eng/starterspack.htm went fine for me with wine-0.9.48. Starting the app (olb.exe) took forever the first time, and I aborted it. I then ran it with +file and +relay to see what it was stuck on -- and it put up its UI! After that, the app seemed to start normally.
I'll file a separate bug for the fact that the app hangs when you click any of the buttons on the toolbar...

I will have to assume that you started OLB.exe with winedebug with the additional parameters. I will try this under Darwine. I did get Mono 1.1.18 installed as well, but it appears the program is causing a memory fault on startup.

Using your suggestions, I got OLB to run although I had to figure out how to bypass the Tutorial. Thank you for your assistance.
BTW, I also looked through the on-line debugging pages and found that I had to add the WINEDEBUG environment variable.
With the addition of this information, I have closed this issue as INVALID. However, this will be added to any entries in the Applications Database.

--- Comment #26 from James McKenzie jjmckenzie51@sprintpcs.com 2007-11-27 21:54:22 --- Decided to try and run on system with ole32.dll native and could not initially install program. However, running OLBSETUP.exe from c:\windows\temp installed program. Running program with WINDEBUG=+file,+trace wine 'C:\Program Files\Bible\Olb.exe' resulted in no trace output, but the program ran. Attempting to open a second window resulted in maximum cpu on the wineserver process. Striking cntrl+c once returned control to the program, sometimes with an error dialog. It was not possible to open a second window at times. The first attempt to run the program resulted in a stack overflow. This may be addressed by a recent patch proposal. This was run on wine 0.9.49 as a check to see if the problems identified above had been fixed with patches between 0.9.47 and 0.9.49.
