Summary: WWIIOL crash to desktop Product: Wine Version: 1.3.16 Platform: x86 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: oleaut32 AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: brian@brianvuyk.com
WWIIOnline crashes to the desktop with the following chunk in the console:
fixme:dbghelp:elf_new_wine_thunks Duplicate in L"oleaut32<elf>": IPersistPropertyBag2_FormatStringOffsetTable<7c6ca2bc-00000008> IPictureDisp_FormatStringOffsetTable<7c6ca2bc-0> fixme:dbghelp_dwarf:compute_location Only supporting one breg (ecx/18 -> edi/24)
The crash can be replicated by entering the game, spawning an airplane, and flying. Eventually, you will crash with the above error.
I would be happy to provide better information for debugging if someone tells me what needs to be done.

--- Comment #1 from Brian Vuyk brian@brianvuyk.com 2011-03-22 14:47:56 CDT --- To clarify: The app is WWII Online: Battleground Europe. You can download it at http://www.battlegroundeurope.com.
You can test this bug without a subscription; just play offline, spawn a plane, and start flying. You *will* eventually crash to desktop.

--- Comment #3 from Brian Vuyk brian@brianvuyk.com 2011-03-22 15:55:43 CDT --- Created an attachment (id=33772) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=33772) Console Log for crash
Here is the requested console log. I was a little hesitant to attach it as it may be misleading.
The output is generated over 5-10 minutes of play time. The XML parsing errors happen in Windows as well if you run from a console; the remaining errors for the most part happen minutes before the crash, and to my eyes don't appear related.
The only difference between this output and that which results from closing the game cleanly after playing (before you crash) is the last two 'fixme' lines which I pasted in the original report.

--- Comment #4 from Brian Vuyk brian@brianvuyk.com 2011-03-22 15:57:56 CDT --- I should add that those last two fixme lines appear *every* time the game crashes to desktop, and never happen when it doesn't.
I should also remember to add these details before hitting 'save' on the previous post.

--- Comment #5 from Bruno Jesus 00cpxxx@gmail.com 2013-11-28 04:57:49 CST --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 2 years. Is this still an issue in current (1.7.7 or newer) wine? If so, please attach the terminal output in 1.7.7 (see http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log).

--- Comment #6 from Brian Vuyk brian@brianvuyk.com --- I am the original bug reporter, and I can verify that this no longer happens to me in 1.6.1 after ~50 hours of play. I am going to mark it as 'fixed'.
