I saw lots of reports that Photoshop CS3 finally installs properly, so I tried it. The installation proccess spat out lots of "fixmes", and at the end I got a message that only "Shared components" were installed successfully.
I attached log from the terminal and a screenshot.
I have Wine 1.1.5-399-g82f77cc, Ubuntu 8.04.

Can you try with a clean .wine directory?
I've tried that. Firstly, Wine informed me it needs Gecko, installed it, then PS CS3 installation hanged. So I launched it again, it went smoothly from beginning to end and gave me the same message - Photoshop failed to install.
