Created attachment 70453 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=70453 Wine in GNOME and KDE
So, I've recently migrated to GNOME 40 on Arch. And I noticed that the font in Wine isn't anti-aliased. I asked my friend that uses KDE if the problem exist for him (he used the same distro and it's installed from the same repo), and it's not there.
I also asked my other friend that uses different distro with the same DE, and the font smoothing problem also occured to him.

--- Comment #1 from Jactry Zeng jactry92@gmail.com --- Hi,
Which kind of display server are you using with GNOME, xorg or wayland?
And from your picture, you and your friends are using different themes for it, I think it might make sense to have a comparison without any theme or with the same theme?

Hello, Mainly I used Wayland (XWayland), but it's also not working on X11. And for that theme, it's actually not affecting font smoothing (font smoothing isn't working for me with classic theme, but it works for him).

Any updates from this? I suspected that GNOME 40 stores their font smoothing config in a different way that WINE doesn't detect it or it uses newer version of Freetype?

--- Comment #4 from リェンーゆく teamworks1732@gmail.com --- Turns out it has the same issue with Debian GNOME too, and weirdly Ubuntu doesn't has that issue. It might be simply a missing font issue. I will mark this as invalid until future notice
