I have a video card ATI Technologies Inc M52 [Mobility Radeon X1300], I tried dxdiag, and it seems to work just fine, however, inside the game, structures are not rendered.

Ah, I didn't notice critical was meant for preventing *all* applications from working.
It does prevent this application from working, thus making it "normal", see the next attachment.

Apparently force_s3tc_enable in ~/.drirc fixes the issues.
Another way to (usually) "fix" this is to export MESA_EXTENSION_OVERRIDE="GL_EXT_texture_compression_s3tc".
