Bug ID: 46202 Summary: AutoClicker doesn't work properly Product: Wine Version: 3.21 Hardware: x86 URL: https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellane ous/AutoClicker-2.shtml OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: luca.finizio.mgbx@hotmail.it Distribution: Mint
I downloaded AutoClicker 2.1 from https://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/AutoClicker-2.shtm... The program starts and it works in his window, but if put the pointer in another window then it dowsn't work. I used this program to repeatedly click in Habbo games (www.habbo.com and www.habbo.it) with a speed of a click every 500 milliseconds; but the same problem is also present with everything else outside the AutoClciker window.

--- Comment #1 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- By "another window", do you mean some other application running with Wine?

No, I mean everything else outside the AutoClicker program window

--- Comment #3 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- If you expect it to work for native application window, that's unlikely to happen. I suggest to start 'wine winecfg' separately, then AutoClicker and see if it can click in winecfg window.

Yes, it can click in winecfg window (except for the 'X' icon to close the window).

--- Comment #5 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- I suggest to close this report then, it's not going to work for windows there were not created by wine.

But it works good in Windows (I mean the OS)... That's why I thought that it was a bug, because it works but not as in Windows

--- Comment #7 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com --- If it works for other windows wine's created, like for winecfg program you tried, then application is clearly working. But it is constrained to wine environment, sending messages, enumerating windows from Win32 point of view, having no idea about non-windows application that are running on your OS.

For example Firefox or GIMP. It doesn't work on them, but it should.
