WINEDLLOVERRIDES="d3d9=n,b" wine Gw2-64.exe -autologin -fps 144

Arcdps, a dps counter addon for Guild Wars 2 which works with a dll override
for d3d9.dll (https://www.deltaconnected.com/arcdps/), causes the game to crash
after the after character select load screen ends on wine staging 5.14 and up
(weirdly, wine staging built with the TKG scripts works up to 5.19 but breaks
the same way on 5.20) but works fine on all the plain wine versions I tested
(5.18, 5.19, 5.20, 6.1)

no, every version I tried of plain wine worked fine

Sorry, I see now that your report said that, and I missed it.

In that case the most helpful thing to do, if you are able, would be to bisect
upstream wine against wine-staging, to determine which patch (set) is
responsible for the bug. See
