Created attachment 46288 --> http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=46288 crash generated backtrace
When trying to load a save file of Civic Festhall the game crashes. Might be related to Bug 21527 but I don't see any similarities between the traces I thought it might be better to open a new one.

Could you attach a log with debug symbols installed? Do you have the latest game version from GOG? This version includes a setup-ddrawfix.exe which lets you choose among 3 different rendering options. Have you tried all of these options to see if the game crashes?

--- Comment #3 from Goblinstomper@gmail.com 2013-10-14 03:33:50 CDT --- Thanks GyB, I was not aware of GOG having updated their installer so I was using one I had downloaded more than a year ago - had no problems with the new installer. Weird though as my old saves from the early parts of the game worked. Anyway, this was clearly a case of PBKAC and thus invalid.

Marking invalid then as per comment #3. The fact is that I tried your saved game with the old game version at first (installed some time in August 2011 on my system) and it didn't crash. Then I downloaded the current version from GOG, and realized that it is a different version, and your saved game worked with that too.

--- Comment #5 from Goblinstomper@gmail.com 2013-10-14 13:15:50 CDT --- Yeah, that was to be expected once I realized that I had been a total idiot. For two reasons, the first was that as the save file itself was made by a friend of mine, I *assumed* that he (on windows) had used the widescreen patch which I promptly applied to my own install after creating a new prefix yesterday - which I then forgot to do when I tried the new GOG version. The other reason would be that I attached what I thought to be a somewhat 'hacked' save game without noting so /facepalm - good thing it turned out to be bog standard. (so the real issue was trying to use a non-resized save game with a widescreen patched version of Torment, totally my mistake and avoidable)
I guess that says something about doing things late at night.
