Hello,
I running kubuntu Lucid 10.04 LTS on x86 64 and today i updated wineHQ via my manger to 1.2-rc7, after i tried to play a game, it start well but their no sound, just noise...
It's same for all games and the only exceptions are a program, it's Reason4.

So actually, Call of Duty 4, Fallout 3 still not working

Seems Ubuntu PPA's / Ubuntu 10.10's wine 1.2 rc7 package could be the culprit of the sound issues. See bugs 23588 and (probably) 23587.

Try building from source to confirm that this isn't a packaging error.
