--- Comment #1 from Jeff Zaroyko jeffz@jeffz.name 2009-10-02 08:46:48 --- Please use a development release for testing Wine - 1.1.30 is the newest. 1.0.1 is about a year old.

--- Comment #2 from dolcevita@supereva.it 2009-10-05 10:20:19 --- Created an attachment (id=23942) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=23942) VB6 simple webbrowser application crash log
I updated my wine installation from 1.0.1 to 1.1.30
The previous application that worked, now crashes. I confirm it works under windows. It only uses webbrowser control without doing anything special. In winecft i have all the libraries set as "native, builtin".
I attach the logfile and if you need i can provide the exe too. I'm trying now to re-install VB6, i'll let you know if under new wine release, it will work.
Thanks Andrea

I unsuccessfully tried to install vb6 under wine 1.1.30 as suggested.
Please give any feedback
Thanks Andrea

In winecft i have all the libraries set as "native, builtin".
Don't do that. DO NOT set ANYTHING to native.
Invalid. Remove your wineprefix, use wine-1.1.30 and try installing again. If the problem persists reopen.
And MAKE SURE this also works on WinXP at least.

Let's take your response:

1) winecfg sets automatically libraries as indicated by me, i can change it but please note it's NOT me that i made the choice to set "native, builtin". I'll change all the libraries settings and i'll try to run the apps again, then i'll give you a feedback.
2) i wrote i already use wine-1.1.30, why and where have I to remove wineprefix and reinstall it again?
3) I already wrote the Setup of Visual Basic and the simple WebBrowser application run both correctly under XP that's the main O.S. I use.
Thankyou for your attention, regards
Andrea

winecfg sets automatically libraries as indicated by me,
It certainly does not set any libraries to native. Do not report any bugs when overriding Wine's dlls with native libraries.
As I said, remove ~/.wine directory and try to install your program again. If the problem persists, attach complete terminal output. And make sure you do have Wine debug symbols installed.
Invalid - unsupported configuration.
