Bug ID: 41564 Summary: Google Nik Collection: Top menu bar gone and cursor gone Product: Wine-staging Version: 1.9.21 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: dan.Tableau@gmail.com CC: erich.e.hoover@wine-staging.com, michael@fds-team.de, sebastian@fds-team.de Distribution: ---
Hello, I just want to report that using wine 1.9.21 (staging) with the Google Nik Collection creates the following issues:
Top menu bar gone, cursor gone (while inside the window).
After switching to winehq-devel, as suggest in the IRC (Thanks, slackner), the problem was gone. Both times the version used was: 1.9.21
Let me know if more info is needed. Thank for doing all this and keeping it up and running!

It all worked using wine (staging) 1.9.20. The error occurred after upgrading to .21.
Thanks for the bug report. Based on the discussion on IRC the program in question is "Silver Efex Pro 2".
Unfortunate I have not been able to reproduce this issue myself. When starting the application, the window shows a menu (File -> Open/Save/Exit), correctly shows the mouse cursor and also responds to mouse input.
I have tested:
* Installation and running with wine-staging 1.9.21 -> everything works * Installation with wine-staging 1.9.20, running with wine-staging 1.9.21 -> everything works
It might be possible that this bug can only be reproduced unter specific conditions. Please try to collect terminal output as described in https://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#How_can_I_get_a_debugging_log_.28a.k.a._terminal... and attach it to this bug report. Also, please check which overrides you have enabled in winecfg (if any). In my tests I did not use any because it does not seem to be necessary in current versions of Wine, but in the past it probably was necessary.
