Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Photoshop
2. Create new file
3. Click File -> Save for Web
4. Hover over one of the icons on the left side of the image

Instead of a tooltip popping up, the dialog loses focus and is grayed out.

I suspect this is related to bug 39547: the tooltip steals focus.

At least they have the same workaround: winecfg -> Graphics -> Allow the window
manager to control the windows ( disabled ) .

With KDE 5.4 the reported problem no longer manifests itself.

This is a patch for wine 1.8.4 stable , and fix the Brush Tool ,and fix the
Tool Tips to do not steal focus ,and the tool tips that do not dissaper from
screen

Maybe just apply patch and recompile yourself .

Well, I'm trying to follow upstream quite closely, so I won't apply any custom
patches - I also avoid staging.

Thanks for the effort though, it's great to see that others care and have the
technical prowess to actually provide patches. Baftă :-)

Not sure how it worked in my previous comment, but the issue appears again 5.5.

Maybe it was something unrelated to wine that changed in the meantime.
