We do not have anyone working on our AppDB anymore. We need a volunteer to take
over maintenance of this codebase. If anyone knows a PHP developer with free
time, we would certainly appreciate it.

I have good PHP experience, and have been thinking for a while about joining
WINE development and maintenance, so this looks like a good opportunity.

The catch is that I probably won’t find enough time to handle that by myself,
alone.

On the other hand if a team maintenance sounds like something you would like to
do, I would be more than happy to join such a team.

Doesn't need to be full time. No deadlines on this. Right now we mainly need
someone to help fix the code for the following bugs:

* bug 56707: PHP8 rewrite
 * bug 56706: AppDB and Bugzilla DB query join separation

We would also be happy to accept patches for the plethora of other bugs filed
against the AppDB code.

The migration to PHP 8 might be the best way to start getting my way around the
codebase, so I guess I am going to begin with that soon.

I’ll post about it in the dedicated discussion (#56707) when I actually start,
and will share the work in progress in a merge request to make sure feedback
can be shared early.
