Summary: Before You Know It crashes into urlmon Product: Wine Version: 1.2-rc7 Platform: x86 URL: http://www.byki.com/fls/FLS.html OS/Version: Linux Status: NEW Keywords: download Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: urlmon AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk
This is a follow up of bug http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=12185.
After downloading the application, and starting it, it first crashes because of lacking richedit functionality, covered by bug 12185
After working around that with winetricks riched20, I get a nice crash into urlmon. With native urlmon the app seems to work perfectly fine

--- Comment #2 from Dan Kegel dank@kegel.com 2010-07-13 18:19:22 --- Just to check, is 'winetricks riched20 urlmon' a sufficient workaround? (I'm curious whether the urlmon it installs is good enough.)

Yes, that's enough to get the app running

--- Comment #4 from butraxz@gmail.com 2013-06-27 12:46:35 CDT --- This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days.
Is this still an issue in wine version 1.6-rc3 or higher or is this to be closed as abandoned ?

winetricks -q ie7
works around it. That may be a different issue, though. See also bug 12185.

--- Comment #6 from Louis Lenders xerox_xerox2000@yahoo.co.uk --- With native riched20 it starts fine for me, doesn't crash anymore (in urlmon)
Maybe the app also got updated, but I don't have the original exe anymore, for which i opened this bugreport. For now i assume it's just fixed in wine
