Summary: Heroes of Might and Magic 5 - Selecting TwinView resolution 2560x1024 doesn't work Product: Wine Version: 0.9.44. Platform: Other OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P3 Component: wine-directx-d3d AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: martyspamtrap@comcast.net
I've modified my user.reg file in my .wine directory to add "VideoMemorySize"="512" in "Software\Wine\Direct3D". The options menu in Heroes 5 shows all of my configured X resolutions as it should, including my TwinView (nVidia GeForce 6600 using nVidia accelerated driver) mode of 2560x1024 (2 monitors, horizontal).
When I select this resolution (coming from 1280x1024), my second monitor flickers on momentarily, then goes out. The first monitor shows all of the text on the main menu screen 2x wider than it normally is. When you mouse-over the text, it redraws it in the proper aspect ratio. The second monitor stays off and the game proceeds to fit everything on the first monitor, still running 1280x1024.
