Upon loading the Project64 emulator with either the stable release or WIP release of the Glide Napalm WX video plugin, the ini file used for its configuration does not load. The error also appears when attempting to configure plugin-specific details. Dependencies are installed.

The ini file problem can be solved by changing to the application directory. I'm not sure why, since no other video plugin (including the previous Glide release) did this, but it at least loads correctly now. However, there are new problems. Using the stable Glide WX release, hi-res textures fail to load fully. While watching the plugin load the textures, I can see that only a bit more than half the textures are properly loaded, and the texture compression is not functioning right. The plugin also crashes occasionally. Using the Glide WX WIP release, trying to load hi-res textures results in a crash every time.
