Summary: Add a "bisected" keyword, please Product: WineHQ Bugzilla Version: unspecified Platform: All OS/Version: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: bugzilla-unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: t.artem@mailcity.com
A lot of regressions have the problem identified and pinpointed to an exact commit.
I suppose such a keyword could be very useful for developers.

--- Comment #1 from Nikolay Sivov bunglehead@gmail.com 2011-01-02 05:05:32 CST --- As I remember it's been decided to avoid it. Main reason is that any confirmed regression should be marked with 'regression' keyword only when you have test results. If you think that it's a regression but have not time/lazy/incapable for some reason to perform a test no 'regression' keyword should be added, and the fact it used to work some versions ago could go to comments.

I personally mark every bug report as regression, when user says "it used to work". It will never work, that users will know, what word "regression" means and how to handle git, even if you pass a wiki link.
Then those interested in bugs/regressions can easily process such disputable regression without reading 100s of bugreports to find one which they are interested.
