I have deleted my ~/.wine folder and am using now aRts/OSS/no sound. This works for me.

Hi Richard, I have exactly the same problem , my uo client just freezes after anywhere from 5min to 20min gameplay. I have tried everything from uninstalling game to updating drivers and nothing worked so far, I still freeze.
You said you are using aRts/OSS/no sound.. can you explain to me what that means ?I'm not really good in cpu stuff but I would love to learn how it works.
I've been trying to solve this problem for months.. I had to desactivate my account because I freeze all the time It's strange because I don't have this problem with WorldOfWarcraft or any other games with better graphics.
Someone told me it might be a sound problem, anyone think this could be the problem (sound) ? Any help is very appreciated, thank you.
