Did you try the patch listed there? It may need a windows firewall, according
to that log.

Well, it did in fact install, however it does not work, so I doubt it installed
everything like supposed to.

Also I was not aware of the patch. Close this bug if it is in fact a dupe.

FIXME's and ERR's can be ignored, if it works.

Try comparing the install to a windows install, to make sure everything's
peachy.

Is this still a problem with today Git? There were a lot of fixes for the
official WLM 2009 installer.

i'm afraid it is. even with winetricks. i'm not saying that winetricks always
improves things, but it doesn't work either way.

Appears to install fine after winetricks msxml3 ie6, no evidence of an
msi bug yet.
