Bug ID: 51953 Summary: Joystick not detected for some older games with wine 6.20 Product: Wine Version: 6.20 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: major Priority: P2 Component: hid Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: pe.we.psi@gmail.com Distribution: ---
With wine 6.20 my Thrustmaster T-Flight Stick X is not detected anymore by some (not all) older games (NFS3, NFS Underground 2, Star Wars Racer). The device is visible with correct name and all functions in wine control-panel (like before) but the games mentioned above do not see it anymore. I tried to go back to wine version 6.17 and the joystick is correctly detected in all games.

--- Comment #4 from Rémi Bernon rbernon@codeweavers.com --- This should be fixed with 67d38c699110a186ff69ecfa9a11e8c0cb3305a0, I could reproduce the issue with Star Wars Episode I Racer (not with the same device though) and confirmed it's then fixed.
Please reopen if it's still broken with other games or with this specific device.
There may still be some remaining issues with force feedback, but that's tracked in https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=51922

--- Comment #5 from Rémi Bernon rbernon@codeweavers.com --- (Changing fix SHA1 to the commit with the matching Wine-Bug tag, although there's then some additional detection issues with some force-feedback devices, fixed by later commits)
