Bug ID: 50969 Summary: Regression - Warframe unable to control camera with wine-staging 6.6 Product: Wine-staging Version: 6.6 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: pmargeti34@gmail.com CC: leslie_alistair@hotmail.com, z.figura12@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Warframe worked normally in wine-staging 6.5 for me. Archlinux updated to wine-staging 6.6 and consequently I've lost the ability to control the characters with the mouse in the game. Downgrading the package to 6.5 resolves it, which leads me to believe this is a regression introduced with 6.6. With 6.6 mouse can still be used in the game menus, but as soon as the 3D world controls become active it doesn't respond to inputs. Keyboard input works normally, however the game is unplayable without the mouse.

Problem occur in Deep Rock Galactic too, in CoD 4 "THANKS" to wine 6.6 (which I waited for 2 weeks and now I've got to destroy) the game crashes with "out of memory"

--- Comment #3 from Lemonzest lemonzest@gmail.com --- I'm having the same issue here with Wine-Staging 6.6 on Fedora
I have tried, Dragon's Dogma, Tomb Raider Anniversary and The Turing Test, all through steam installed inside of wine, no mouse control when in game, but fine in menus.

--- Comment #5 from Rémi Bernon rbernon@codeweavers.com --- I suspect the rawinput patch updates as I had to rewrite them quite a bit, most likely I broke something. I'll have a look.

I confirm that this bug doesn't appear in upstream.

--- Comment #7 from Rémi Bernon rbernon@codeweavers.com --- I can confirm that the rawinput update was broken, I've attached an update that should fix this to https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=42631.

--- Comment #9 from Gabriele gab.pulcio@gmail.com --- Not to spit on anyone's face but... why didn't you verify the patch, like, now we all have to wait 2 weeks for the next release because I'm sure as hell I won't download 1GB of dependencies + source to build wine from scratch just because there isn't anything like a hotfix in this project

Please be courteous. We don't have the time or resources to verify every patch with every application in existence. Much of wine development is done by volunteers in their spare time, and wine-staging is entirely maintained in the spare time of a small group of people.
Users of wine-staging should expect breakage even more than upstream wine; that's the fundamental purpose of the project.

I'm sorry if I came off as rude, I didn't mean to. I love your work and I always tell to my friends how much you guys are helping to make windows "redundant" (spoiler: it already is) even if gaming was my only concern about linux.

At this point this bug has been resolved and adding more game titles to the description does absolutely nothing productive. What it does is spamming people in the CC list. Please refrain from doing this. Thank you.

Hello,
Check the list of affected apps, they are all there.
It would be redundant with the link to the AppDB entries.
Regards.
