Origin 7.5 crashes when I select a column and click on the button for plotting
the data. This crash also occurs in version 0.9.53, however version 0.9.51
works fine

Your attached tracelog was not generated from wine 0.9.54, since
xmlnode_put_text was implemented in this version.

Please upgrade and generate a new tracelog.

Did you use native msxml in the version that worked?

Sorry, I attached the tracelog of version 53.

I didn't change anything on my .wine/-directory when upgrading wine and I think
I never installed msxml.

The regression test seems to take a lot of time so I will do this at first at
the weekend.

Dont worry about the regession, since xmlnode_put_nodeValue hasnt been
implemented.

Confirming since Alistair says this is the same as bug 6473.

Can this be reproduced with the free trial of Origin Pro 8?

Origin works fine and does not crash at this point. However in previous
Versions it already worked without installing msxml.

Installation of the Origin 8.0 Trial version results in in a lot of messages
like

After installation it shows almost the same behavior like Origin 7.5: When
starting the plot in version 8 the template of the new plot arises, but stays
empty, whereas version 7.5 shows nothing. After this, both versions don't react
anymore.

Should I do the regression test?

I moved my old .wine-directory
During the installation you will be asked which version you want to install,
I've chosen the medially ("Install Origin trial"), not OriginPro

*Start Origin 8.0
*Select the window "Book1"
*right click in the gray area right from column B and add a third column
*insert in the first two rows (starting with the white ones) six arbitrary
values
*select the last two columns B and C by selecting the captions (similar to
excel)
*right click on the selected area --> draw/plot? --> line --> line plot/line
graph

I don't know how it is labeled in the English version of the program, I don't
know  why the trial version is installed in German.

Works fine in origin 8. That function's been implemented, and no response from
reporter, so marking fixed.
