--- Comment #1 from rmlipman@gmail.com 2011-10-21 10:14:57 CDT --- Initially tested on 1.3.26 because of bug 28401, but still happens on 1.3.30

--- Comment #4 from Andrew Eikum aeikum@codeweavers.com 2011-10-24 10:50:35 CDT --- I can't get this game to work in 1.3.26 or 1.3.31. Can you provide step-by-step installation instructions? Also, have you tested this in 1.3.31?

--- Comment #5 from rmlipman@gmail.com 2011-10-24 10:56:11 CDT --- I had to install everything in 1.3.26, and then I could run it on more recent versions. So what worked for me was:
winetricks dotnet35 install dungeon defenders - it should install another .net which worked in 1.3.26 remove msvcrt overrides (there should be two)
Which steps don't work for you and in which version?
And I tested this in 1.3.31 and there still isn't sound. Some cutscene sounds play, but ingame sounds don't. Same as in 1.3.30.

--- Comment #6 from Andrew Eikum aeikum@codeweavers.com 2011-10-26 13:53:06 CDT --- Thanks for the instructions. I got it to run.
As I had hoped, this bug is fixed by the patch for Bug 14717, which will be making its way into Wine soon. I am going to mark this as a duplicate of Bug 28748, since I think it's the same bug as described there. Thank you for reporting!

--- Comment #8 from Jorge Sierra jsierra@gmail.com 2011-12-01 11:45:31 CST --- I was able to get sound working flawlessly by changing the windows version to Windows 7 and applying this patch:
http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=37683
from bug 28723. I hope this is able to help someone else out.
