--- Comment #1 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr 2008-08-27 12:45:04 --- Does the demo show the same problem
For me, i was not able to enter to the game. I copied the config file from my XP box into my wine folder and everything is fine now for the demo
Link for the demo: http://www.jeuxvideopc.com/demo/235-gift.php

Does the demo show the same problem
The demo is almost ok. I didn't go far, but it's very playable!
I had to copy detect.exe from the full game, and change to the demo dir before i launch it.
Sorry : it's a quite old game... But quite good :-)

--- Comment #3 from Xavier madvax@free.fr 2008-08-27 18:25:15 --- If I select a _very_low_ resolution (400x300x16) the introduction movies are displayed on the whole window. Memory/surface allocation problem ? 4 or 5 short movies/screens, then the game crashes.
One or two problem ?

--- Comment #4 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2009-02-26 11:22:31 --- Is this still an issue in current (1.1.15 or newer) wine?

--- Comment #5 from Xavier madvax@free.fr 2009-02-27 12:55:20 --- Just tested with 1.1.15: - display is still reduced to a small part of the screen - The game does not crash !!
But: - frame rate is very low - 'detect.exe' fails (error about EnumDisplayDevicesW)
Moreover I ran the game in an other resolution (1280x800 - native) and the display was fullscreen! But unplayable because slow.

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.29 or newer) wine?
Just tested with 1.1.32: most issues are fixed :) But the game is still unplayable because of the low FR: 1 fps or less Movies are better: 10 fps
'v-sync' is not supported: no display (but only when the game starts)
Many 'err:d3d:state_undefined Undefined state' messages
