Summary: Artweaver drop-down menu behind parent window Product: Wine Version: 1.1.33 Platform: PC URL: http://www.artweaver.de/home-en OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: gdiplus AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: billstei@hbci.com
In Artweaver 1.07, the drop-down menus are drawn behind the window that contains the drop-down widget. Example: In the Brush tool window (Ctrl-9 to show it), the widget which selects the type of brush when clicked draws the menu window/items behind the Brush window.

--- Comment #1 from billstei billstei@hbci.com 2009-11-21 11:28:35 --- Also worth noting: In Winecfg, unchecking Graphics->Allow the window manager to control the windows, "fixes" the problem, but introduces a new (worse) problem in that the floating always-on-top tool windows are no longer always on top.

Hmmm... I could not reproduce it under KDE4. I also tried fullscreen vs. window mode and both worked for me.
My test case: * loaded png image * pressed Ctrl+9 few times to toggle brush window * click on list with brush types, they were foreground, choosed "Oil pastels", clicked again (again they were foreground) and choosed "pencil"
Tested under 1.1.33 and 1.1.33-301-gd963e97.

--- Comment #4 from billstei billstei@hbci.com 2009-11-21 13:51:09 --- Perhaps this is Gnome related. I was testing under Gnome 2.26.1 (Ubuntu 9.04).

--- Comment #5 from billstei billstei@hbci.com 2009-11-29 14:04:15 --- Retested with Gnome 2.28.1 (Ubuntu 9.10) and Wine 1.1.33 and the problem remains. Also I can confirm that this problem does not occur in KDE 4.3.2.

Is this still an issue in 1.6-rc1 or higher or is this abandoned ?
