Bug ID: 47764 Summary: World of Warcraft - Keyboard troubles Product: Wine Version: 4.16 Hardware: x86 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: cybermax@dexter.no Distribution: ---
With wine-staging-4.16 i need to double click keys sometimes to get things working.
Example: Need to click W twice to move forwards.
Once it works, it works fine until i do another action requiring a different key. Sometimes the keystroke "misses", and i need to double click. Bare in mind that i use mouselook all the time, and i see some changes mentioned with winex11.drv and "Only grab or warp the cursor when keyboard isn't grabbed" and stuff like that... Could it be some problems when using mouse + keyboard at the same time?
This is not something that happened with wine-staging-4.15.
Please confirm.

--- Comment #1 from Sveinar Søpler cybermax@dexter.no --- It definitely seems related to mouselook (ie. holding down mousebutton and move/look around) at the same time as using keyboard. Only using keyboard to turn, there is seemingly no problem.
Also i tested the Lutris-4.16 branch (staging-4.16 + TKG proton patches), there is no problem.
Afaik the Lutris branch uses patchsets such as "raw-input.patch" that deals with similar issues as the new winex11.drv patches addresses.

--- Comment #3 from Sveinar Søpler cybermax@dexter.no --- This seems fixed with wine-staging-4.17
I suspect this: https://github.com/wine-staging/wine-staging/commit/e09468ec178930ac7b1ee334...
is what fixed it.

--- Comment #6 from Sveinar Søpler cybermax@dexter.no --- (In reply to Jan from comment #5)
This bug is back in Wine 4.18, 4.19 and 4.20 (staging).
Yes. But have you tested to enable the option "Automatically capture the mouse in full-screen windows" in winecfg/Graphics ?
Atleast doing that seems to fix it for me.
