Counter Strike Source fails to launch and crashes when I try to start the game.
I am running a PC with Fedora 11 x86_64 edition and wine-1.1.23. I installed Wine through yum and I have no problems with Steam itself. I have not tried to launch other games.

Upgrade your Wine. wine-1.1.23 had a known regression braking most steam games.
Actually, the bug was a good deal older than 1.1.23, but it wasn't triggered until a recent Steam upgrade!
