Hi,
I tried to install Office 2003 using wine 0.9.48.
My steps: * create basic wine configuration with winecfg. * Select WindowsXP * launch Office installation using wine setup.exe * Select Custom install * Select only Word and Excel * Freeze during installation progress on "User inscription"
I joined a screenshot.

If you start with a clean ~/.wine directory, does a standard (non-custom) install work?

By the way, It fails to run Word 2003 with the error message: There is not enough memory or disk space to run Word.
The message seems wrong on my laptop (around 10G free disk space and 600Mb free memory)

Please file a separate bug for the problem with starting Word after the successful install.
