ps shows idriver.exe using 100% of cpu.

The initial dialog takes about a minute; it then presents you with a Next
button.  It then enters a very long slow phase.  oprofile with -O1 shows

After about five minutes, it starts to copy files.  oprofile with -O0 then
shows a different hot spot:

Installer completes in about half an hour (with first disc copied to hard
drive as in winetricks recipe).

It takes about half an hour on windows, too.
