Steps to reproduce:

1. Start the game.
2. Choose Single Player --> Campaign --> Load Game (obviously you'll need a
saved game to do this)
3. Notice the screenshot is black and the see the "loading" message.
4. Wait a few seconds.
5. Experience the crash.

Wine version: 1.7.43 (32bit)
Linux distro: Linux Mint 17.0 (64bit)
Video card drivers: nvidia-331.113

After some more research I discovered a bug report for a superset of the
symptoms I describe (crashing in all kinds of menus). I was not able to
reproduce the crashes in the listed menus though except in the "Load Game"
screen.

This was most likely a driver issue. I am unable to reproduce it on a different
machine with the following setup:

Wine version: 1.7.43 (64bit)
Linux distro: Linux Mint 17.1 (64bit)
Video card drivers: nvidia-352.21
