Looks like it's crashing in wine-mono, native .Net (use winetricks) may help.

To try to reproduce the problem you can download the latest trial version here,
albeit not the exact same as my 2013 version, it might have the same problem...

What do you mean by "console"? All I see is when I try to run it, it shows the
Smartdraw startup popup with two buttons to "buy now" or "run trial". Clicking
run button it then crashes. I see nothing else.

I just installed that 2016 trial version. It runs and does not crash.
Really slow though. Pretty much unusable. Too bad.

Can an administrator close this bug as ABANDONED?
