Summary: Counter-Strike Source: crashes on startup Product: Wine Version: unspecified Platform: PC OS/Version: other Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: wine-programs AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: jason.bogstie@gmail.com
Created an attachment (id=9976) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=9976) Information from my console when I attempted to run CS:S
I have a fresh install of wine - 0.9.49-1.fc8.i386 I am using Fedora Core 8. I have a virtual desktop set to run from winecfg, I have steam installed and there are no problems with steam, but when I attempt to launch Counter-Strike Source from the My Games menu in steam it says that its preparing to launch like it is suppose to but then that screen disappears and nothing happens. Steam is still running but Counter-Strike does not run. I have winecfg set to emulate Windows XP and all of the rest of the basic configurations follow what the application database says I should do.

I cannot locate any other version than what I am running now, and attempting to update via yum doesn't work because I have the current version of wine already running.

Marking as fixed. If you upgrade to wine 0.9.52 (with a clean .wine) and it still doesn't work, then reopen this bug.
