Bug ID: 48476 Summary: World Machine 3D preview window not working Product: Wine Version: 5.0-rc5 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: maurizio.zappettini@me.com Distribution: ---
World Machine preview window (little window near the top left corner) works exclusively in 2D mode. It only shows the terrain in 2D, even when you toggle the "3D" button immediately below it, which is to supposed to switch between 2D and 3D preview.
This is a known issue on AppDB but apparently there is no bug reported about this. World Machine Basic (free edition) can be downloaded without need to register from here:

--- Comment #1 from camspam@redhyena.net --- Also mentioned here: https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=32782
It changes if you resize the sidebar, or pick a different preview in device navigation. The buttons in the main view window change if you change focus between it and the sidebar, seems more stable with the sidebar removed "F4".

--- Comment #3 from camspam@redhyena.net --- This only affects versions before "Mt Rainier". UI was rewritten in QT, previously was MFC.

--- Comment #4 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Can you give a link to download showing the problem? This one on the first comment is the latest download.

--- Comment #5 from camspam@redhyena.net --- It does seem that only the latest version is available via the website. It's still probably a good idea to look into this as anyone using a higher edition can't upgrade unless a yearly fee is paid. This link is for the free basic edition. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1FgQj54_nrrCfgVSIhY2_aPyim8nGLeVn

Created attachment 71720 [details] screenshot in wine
Here is I obtain with wine-7.0. Can you explain what the problem is?
It appears you switched the view to 2D where it does work correctly. Click '2D' again to switch it back to '3D'. Left click and drag on the preview to see a flicker, which can either be an overlay of a flat color or the last '2D' view. I will attach a video as well to demonstrate.
