When I attempt to install World of Warcraft, Dungeons and Dragons Online, or update Neverwinter Nights 2, My computer simply shuts off. I am running a Toshiba Sattelite with an AMD Turion 2.4 GHz processor, 2 gigs of RAM, over 250 gigs of hard drive space, and Ubuntu 10.4.

All I know is that when I run any of the installs/updates through Wine, after a certain point, my laptop simply shuts off with no warning. It's entirely possible that it simply needs to be cleaned, and will pursue that avenue when I can. Other than that, I don't even have the faintest idea of where to begin looking.

In any case, it's not a wine bug; this isn't the right forum to discuss it. The operating system is supposed to be bulletproof. Wine could log you out, but it's very hard to imagine wine shutting down your system.
