Summary: Wine 0.9.6x breaks "GTA: San Andreas" Product: Wine Version: 0.9.61. Platform: PC-x86-64 OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: m_105@gmx.de
Created an attachment (id=12803) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12803) console output
After updating to Wine 0.9.61, GTA: San Andreas crashes reproducibly after the NVIDIA logo. 0.9.59 works fine though. Due to a broken Wine 0.9.60 RPM packet for SuSE 10.3 I wasn't able to check if the problem first occurred in .60 or .61.

--- Comment #2 from Florian mcflow-forum@gmx.net 2008-05-08 13:43:38 --- I just made the test. This happens with 0.9.61 first. wine-0.9.60 works fine, except the game lags heavy ;)

--- Comment #4 from Ian Schwarz m_105@gmx.de 2008-05-08 15:30:34 --- That's possible. Can anyone check if the patch from 12979 also fixes this issue? (Or I'll have to patch-and-compile myself, which I haven't succeeded in yet, sadly.) When you turn off shaders, it's playable, or more like, it was in 0.9.59. Sometimes the framerate gets a little jerky, but I can (could) play it at higher resolutions on my laptop (Core2Duo / 2GB / 7900GS).

--- Comment #5 from Rico kgbricola@web.de 2008-05-08 15:36:36 --- Yes, it's the same as bug 12979. The attached patch solves this for GTA-VC, too.
