Bug ID: 37786 Summary: Battle.net window distortion Product: Wine Version: 1.7.33 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: brian.jd@gmail.com Distribution: ---
Created attachment 50329 --> https://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=50329 Running Battle.net.exe with wine from terminal on Fedora 20 log messages
I have had a problem with the battlenet window after attempting to install Starcraft II. The problem manifests as a distorted window that looks stretched diagonally. There are a couple work-arounds that seem to work, such as running wine with: "LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 wine ~/.wine/drive_c/Program\ Files/Battle.net/Battle.net.exe", and just clicking where the game launch button is supposed to be, and it'll get you into the game you want, but the problem itself still remains by default, and should probably be addressed. Other people in AppDb have had a similar problem as well: https://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=28855#Comm...
I'm running this on Fedora 20.

--- Comment #2 from Sebastian Lackner sebastian@fds-team.de --- I don't have this issue, is it also present when doing a fresh install of the Battle.net app into a new wine prefix?
Which graphic card do you have and which drivers do you have installed?
The comments in appdb mention that the problem was not always present ("After the last update this happened ..."). Is this related to a Battle.net update or a wine update? If its caused by a wine update, please do a regression test. Take a look here for full instructions how to do that: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

--- Comment #4 from Anastasius Focht focht@gmx.net --- Hello folks,
--- quote --- Btw, corruption looks similar to https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37289. --- quote ---
That's the Mesa/Intel upstream bug which can also be seen in bug 37347 All apps built with MSVC Qt5 SDK using ANGLE graphics layer were affected.
The bug is already fixed in Mesa master.
Resolving as dupe here.
