LTSpiceXVII that is a spice simulator coded for Windows, but explicitly mentioning the possibility of using it with WINE uses Tahoma as its default font and cannot properly show resistance values without that glyph.

It seems to me that Omega symbol (U+2126) is already implemented into WineTahoma, perhaps it is another font or a different issue.

It seems to me that Omega symbol (U+2126) is already implemented into WineTahoma, perhaps it is another font or a different issue.
I solved the bug by installing the tahoma2 component from the playonlinux menu, this means that the integrated wine font is buggy.

--- Comment #5 from Carlo Bramini carlo.bramix@libero.it --- Probably, LTSpice is using U+03A9 "GREEK CAPITAL LETTER OMEGA" instead of U+2126 "OHM SIGN". They are identical, but in current WineTahoma fonts, U+03A9 is missing. Fixing should be easy, with FontForge it is just needed to copy U+2126 and paste it to U+03A9.

Probabilmente, LTSpice sta usando U+03A9 "GREEK CAPITAL LETTER OMEGA" invece di U+2126 "OHM SIGN". Sono identici, ma negli attuali font WineTahoma manca U+03A9. La riparazione dovrebbe essere facile, con FontForge รจ sufficiente copiare U+2126 e incollarlo su U+03A9.
I don't know, it may be, I've never edited a font. However by installing the tahoma2 font the appearance of ltspice is better, the fonts of all the menus seem cleaner and without jaggies
