The game "The Lost Crown" stopped working after I installed 1.6.1. I'm including the error output.
NOTE: It kinda ran on 1.4.1 but it froze if you tried to save your position.

--- Comment #1 from Henri Verbeet hverbeet@gmail.com 2013-12-05 06:58:08 CST --- You seem to have installed native d3d9, that's not supported. Does the bug also happen in a clean WINEPREFIX?

I deactivated d3d9 and the opening screen came up, but then nothing. So I installed the last stable version of wine and now it's running ok. However another game that was working now freezes up. Gain one, lose one!
Is there a list of the settings I should use for wine (win xp) that may help?

--- Comment #4 from Teras teras@luukku.com --- Game's HOWTO from winedb
The installation of the game works w/o problems, but you have to skip the installation of DirectX 9. After the installation has been finished you need to copy the file d3dx9_36.dll
Could you try with more recent wine and also this trick mentioned here?

--- Comment #6 from Rosanne DiMesio dimesio@earthlink.net --- According to comment 2, the problem originally reported was fixed after upgrading to 1.6.2. The problem with the other game was a separate issue and a new bug should have been filed for that.
Marking fixed per comment 2.

--- Comment #7 from Fred Thomas fred.thomas-6oi1k1ay@yopmail.com --- The games "Lost Crown" and "Vampyre Story" both work. Not perfectly, but they do run under 1.6.2. You can close this file.
