The game was running fine for a while and I got a few hours of play until it simply would not start anymore. I've managed to play this game on the Windows partition with no issues. I attached a console log.
SYMPTOMS
-Upon startup it plays 1 second of the EA intro video and then the screen turns black
-"Masseffect3config.exe" does open but I noticed that it displays a different display adapter than is installed
ATTEMPTED FIXES -Tried changing drivers with no effect -Deleted "Local_Profile.sav" file w/ 0kb from the Save directory -Booted in Gnome and 2D mode -Tried w/ wine 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, and 1.5.7
SYSTEM SPECS Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS 2x Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6500 @ 2.10GHz ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4500/5100 Series HDA-Intel - HDA ATI HDMI

Oh no. I am not currently using windows. I have played this game on the windows partition on this laptop before and it did work. Now I am using Linux with wine and the game is not working. The "storage" partition doesnt have an os installed - it's just open space I use to insert media from both Oss. Sorry for the confusion.

You didn't install it under wine, but under windows. Registry entries/other files in the file system/etc. may be missing. It's an unsupported configuration.
Install it under wine and retry.
