--- Comment #2 from Eric Carter login@greenstorm.net 2008-10-10 20:48:13 --- Seems to work fine in metacity (I just ran metacity --replace).
It also worked fine in my previous version of WINE, which I'm pretty sure was 1.0.0-1ubuntu4~hardy1 from the Hardy updates repository.

A regression test would help: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTesting

Regression testing sounds like something I probably won't have time for today, so I thought I just grab the 1.1.4 package and see if it happens there. It did, so I switched back to 1.0.0-1ubuntu~hardy1 and the problem persisted. I'm pretty sure that version worked before I installed 1.1.5, so I'm probably gonna have to do a fresh install to get back to the way it worked before I installed 1.1.5. I'll post again when I have the chance to play with git for the first time.

Glad I waited. Synaptic brought me 1.1.6 this morning and the problem is fixed. The Photoshop main window opens on the active desktop now.

the problem is fixed.
P.S. I'm not really sure how to mark this bug (fixed? invalid?), since it was never confirmed, so I'll just leave it for a triager for now.
