If I start WinUAE the WinUAE-Gui pops up and I can configure everything I like.
No problems until I press the "Start". Then a new windows open (as it should)
and another small windows open telling me "crash detected: crash dumb at
blah...path"
Then wine crashes and output wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to
0x3557ff30 at address 0x607677 (thread 0009), starting debugger...

Hack

Hi, could you try the attached stupid hack, to see if it could work around the
crash? It looks again as if the app is not happy with screendepth again. Apply
the  patch, recompile wine and then run the application by:

WDEPTH=32 wine winuae.exe

I tried this again after upgrading to 0.9.56 - and WinUAE launches without
incident.  (The program that it's trying to launch doesn't quite work - but
that's a different story...)
