Wine version?
the last wine released !!!!
An exact number would help. Running 'wine --version' and providing the result shouldn't be that hard. OK, let me guess...
Have you compiled Wine on your own, or used a package?

--- Comment #9 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-12-28 21:56:42 --- Use fresh wineprefix (either use a new one or remove ~/.wine directory) and reinstall steam. DO NOT use any native dlls. I suspect you using native dcom (which makes this bug invalid).

--- Comment #10 from Vitaliy Margolen vitaliy@kievinfo.com 2009-12-28 21:57:13 --- Oh and make sure you do not have 64-bit Wine.

--- Comment #11 from Austin English austinenglish@gmail.com 2011-10-01 16:47:55 CDT --- This is your friendly reminder that there has been no bug activity for 1 year. Is this still an issue in current (1.3.29 or newer) wine?

no reply for considerable amount of time, marking abandoned.
Reopen if you can reproduce with clean WINEPREFIX (regular user!) and _recent_ Wine version.
