Bug ID: 56617 Summary: Photoshop CC 2024: crashes after a short period (Unimplemented function NETAPI32.dll.NetGetAadJoinInformation) Product: Wine Version: 9.7 Hardware: x86-64 OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: netapi32 Assignee: wine-bugs@winehq.org Reporter: gag_unglue018@simplelogin.com Distribution: ---
Photoshop CC 2024 crashes after approximately 30-60 seconds of use. Software appears to function normally, basic features like creating/opening/saving files and drawing with the brush work, unfortunately the program crashes every time after a short period.
Installer does not work, I installed on a VM and manually copied over the files into my prefix. Installed the following with winetricks before launching the program: vcrun2022, fontsmooth=rgb, gdiplus, atmlib, msxml3, msxml6, dxvk, vkd3d.
Here is the output I get right at the time of the crash: wine: Call from 00006FFFFFC6DA38 to unimplemented function NETAPI32.dll.NetGetAadJoinInformation, aborting wine: Unimplemented function NETAPI32.dll.NetGetAadJoinInformation called at address 00006FFFFFC6DA38 (thread 0708), starting debugger...

Are there any options in the application to disable Azure and/or Active Directory integration?

Nothing directly related to Azure or AD in the preferences menu. Also looked for relevant registry entries, found nothing. The only connection between Photoshop and Azure/Active Directory I found after a web search was in an enterprise deployment scenario, which is definitely not my case.
Tried other recent Adobe software such as Lightroom, exact same issue persists.

Is that Lightroom 7.2? I couldn't find any version information at all on Adobe's website. If you find other apps with the same issue can you link them in the AppDB (if possible)? Thanks.
If you have a direct download link (to a trial/demo) too that would be excellent.

The exact version I tried was Lightroom Classic 13.2.
Here is a direct link to download the Creative Cloud installer: https://prod-rel-ffc-ccm.oobesaas.adobe.com/adobe-ffc-external/core/v1/wam/d...
I think they offer a free trial for 7 days.

--- Comment #6 from gag_unglue018@simplelogin.com --- It does! After rebuilding with the patch applied, the crashing issue appears to be fixed in both applications (Photoshop and Lightroom Classic), enabling further testing.
Thank you for your work :)
