Summary: In Winamp, the "send to..." submenu in the playlist menu does not appear Product: Wine Version: 1.0.1 Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs@winehq.org ReportedBy: olhzilla@gmail.com
In Winamp's playlist window, the right-click menu should contain a "send to..." submenu that lets the user send the selected track to the format transcoder or the ReplayGain analysis tool, but under wine the submenu does not appear. It did appear in the previous version of either Winamp or wine (I'm not sure) but did not work - selecting any item from the submenu simply did nothing. There used to be a workaround for this bug posted in wine's app database, but it got deleted.
Steps to reproduce: 1. Install Winamp, making sure that the transcoding tool and/or the ReplayGain analysis tool are selected. 2. In the playlist window, right-click on any track. 3. The menu should contain a "send to..." submenu, but it does not.
Ubuntu 9.04, Winamp 5.552, wine 1.0.1-0ubuntu6

--- Comment #4 from olhzilla@gmail.com 2009-06-26 05:37:09 --- The file comctl32.dll seems to be the problem. A comment in the app database suggests copying this file from a Windows installation instead of using the one from wine - that doesn't work for me, but I think that it used to work.

Use 'winetricks cc580' to install it properly. Here can get it here - http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks

--- Comment #8 from butraxz@gmail.com 2013-11-24 12:05:05 CST --- Winamp has been abandoned.
This ticket has not been updated for over 900 days. Development recommends to check the status on your bug every release or two and let to be known if the bug is still present. If not, mark it fixed. If you are no longer able to put effort to this ticket, you can abandon it.
Is this still an issue with 1.7.7 or higher ?

--- Comment #9 from hanska2@luukku.com --- I used winamp 5.666 build 3516.
Installed all default, used even the new skin.
I couldnt see send to menu, also couldnt change winamp skins.
But when I used
"Use 'winetricks cc580' to install it properly."
And restarted winamp, it changed the skin to the one I tried to change before.
Also the send to menu was visible.
Also changing skin seem to work after that.

--- Comment #11 from winetest@luukku.com --- Still valid wine 2.1. Didnt test staging, but I am quite sure wine-staging 2.0 doesn't have this.
winetricks -q cc580 worksaround.

--- Comment #12 from winetest@luukku.com --- actually this bug might have been fixed. I used the sound file that comes with winamp as an example playlist entry. Send to menu is drawn, but it is clearly out of place!
