--- Comment #1 from legluondunet@free.fr legluondunet@free.fr --- After applied this command line:
wine reg.exe ADD "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\X11 Driver" "/v" "UseXVidMode" "/t" "REG_SZ" "/d" "N"

--- Comment #2 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Does the bug still occur with plain current wine (4.0-rc7)?

--- Comment #3 from joaopa jeremielapuree@yahoo.fr --- Duplicate of bug 43199. Same workaround works. Can an administrator close this bug as Duplicate of bug 43199.

--- Comment #4 from imaxm memax@gmx.fr --- I haven't experienced any crashes after the cinematics with wine-9.8 (development version), either in the demo or in the full game (GOG version). There is indeed bug 21796, which has a workaround, but no crashes. I think this bug report can be closed.
Default Wine configuration, unmodified. Clean Wine directory. Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.
