Errors during proteus installation

Hi,

I am installing proteus 8.1 sp1 and the install stops when asking for the
licence key. I click on next and nothing happens.

I tried the solution of bug 35544 by installing winetricks -q w57 but it didnt
work. I am using wine 1.7.13.

The main error seems to be

The exact installation file is proteus8.1.SP1.exe

That's for the missing stub functionality, it was in no way meant 'this makes
the whole installer fully work'.

The installer suffers from multiple bugs hence creating 'meta' bugs like "the
installer doesn't work" isn't recommended.

You created a new bug under premise of having the installer fully working by
using native WSH 5.7.

Reopening and leaving this open, because it depends on bug 35544 and bug 35545
resolved first.

With current wine I get a failure described in bug 35539, so I'm not sure if we

Don't select "local key", select "key on server" instead (next will work) then
let the server box empty. You can add the key after installation with
bin/licence.exe.
