I Don't remember the precise version where it last worked but i do remember that the game ran fine in the 7.0+ version of wine

--- Comment #4 from Bougy pardisetm@gmail.com --- After testing with different version of wine and testing with proton, I have came to the conclusion that the problem does not come from regression but come from the last ea desktop versions and wine, has proton (7.0-6) does seem to launch the sims 3 (ea desktop version not steam one) without problem.
